$ Senior Pipeline Technical Director _
Building scalable workflows for visual effects
OCT 2024 - PRESENT
In October 2024, I stepped into the role of Senior Pipeline Technical Director, taking on increased responsibilities within the company. In this capacity, I led the design and implementation of core pipeline services (including exporting and publishing). I also mentored and provided technical guidance to Junior and Mid Pipeline TDs through code reviews and system design, while acting as one of the primary escalation points for cross-department pipeline issues during active productions.
FEB 2023 - SEP 2024
In February 2023, I progressed to Mid Pipeline Technical Director, building on my experience and contributing to the company's pipeline development. In this role, I developed and maintained pipeline tools for Houdini, Maya, Nuke, RV, and internal DCCs, and designed Python-based, Qt-driven UIs for artist-facing applications. I also built and maintained CI/CD pipelines and source builds, integrated pipeline tools with ShotGrid (Shotgun) APIs and workflows, and developed bash-based utilities for studio-wide automation. Additionally, I implemented color-managed workflows leveraging OpenImageIO and OpenColorIO.
MAY 2022 - FEB 2023
After obtaining my degree, I transitioned to working full-time at One Of Us, continuing in my role as a Pipeline Technical Director.
FEB 2022 - MAY 2022
Before graduating, I secured my first industry position as a part-time Pipeline Technical Director, laying the foundation for my career in VFX pipeline development.
SEP 2019 - MAY 2022
I earned a degree in The Art of Visual Effects from Escape Studios, Pearson College London in 2022. Throughout my tenure, I gained comprehensive exposure to the entirety of the VFX Pipeline, spanning from concept art and modeling to lighting, rendering and compositing. I graduated with first-class honors.
